Dear Fellow REIWA Member,
I’m reaching out to ask for your vote in the REIWA Council election that starts today. I’m Liz Sterzel, and I’m running for a position on the REIWA Council. My goal is clear: to help ensure that REIWA remains a strong, innovative, and influential advocate for our industry and your business.
About Me
With over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with both residential and commercial real estate professionals across Greater Perth. Together with my partner and co-founder, Trevor Dunkley, I’ve played a key role in shaping the buyer’s advocacy sector, setting high standards in this emerging field. My background in senior management, coupled with a master’s in business administration and diplomas in real estate and finance, has given me a solid foundation to understand and address the complex challenges we face as an industry.
I’ve also had the privilege of serving as Chair of the REIWA Buyer’s Agents Committee, where I’ve gained valuable experience in representing members and advocating for their interests within the industry. My commitment to excellence has been recognized with six Awards for Excellence and induction into the REIWA Hall of Fame.
I’m eager to bring my experience to the Council, while contributing to and building on the collective wisdom of those who have been leading REIWA with such dedication.
My Vision for REIWA
Our industry faces significant challenges, with issues like cyber-risk, disruption, AI, AML regulations, the upcoming State election, and the next stages of tenancy law changes. My extensive experience in real estate and corporate leadership has equipped me to help tackle these complexities. As a REIWA Councillor, I will be committed to helping ensure that our industry remains strong and resilient, with a focus on managing risk and fostering sustainable and profitable businesses.

Successfully leading a real estate business through over 20 years of changing market cycles has deepened my understanding of the importance of strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. I am committed to ensuring that REIWA continues to promote excellence through initiatives that enhance the skills, knowledge, and integrity of our real estate professionals. By upholding these high standards, we can continue to earn the trust of the public and strengthen our position in the market.

REIWA’s strength lies in its ability to represent a diverse membership, including residential, commercial, rural, and business sectors. I will work to ensure that the unique needs of all members are heard, that REIWA upholds strong governance practices, and remains a powerful advocate for our industry at all levels—whether in government, media, or the broader community.
Why Your Vote Matters
REIWA has always been a vital support system for our industry, and both current and past Councils have done an outstanding job in steering our organization with vision, integrity, and strategic foresight. Their leadership has been instrumental in shaping a stable and thriving property market, advocating for policies that benefit all sectors of our industry, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
As someone who deeply respects the work that has been done, I hope to join this strong team and contribute to REIWA’s continued success. To maintain this momentum, we need a Council that is strategic in its vision and deeply committed to the success and integrity of our profession.
On a personal note, Trevor and I enjoy traveling, getting away to the bush, and unwinding with a good book. These moments of balance are important, helping me stay focused and energised, so I can contribute my best to REIWA and our industry.
